Instructions for immersing new
or newly koshered vessels
1) Remove any dirt, rust, stickers, glue from labels, and price markings from utensils/vessels. Heat gun, steel wool and/or acetone are sometimes needed to remove all traces of surface markings.
2) If you are immersing more than one vessel, begin with one that requires a blessing (Metal or glass). Th blessing only needs to be said once.
3) Make your hand wet with the Mikvah water and hold the first vessel as you say the blessing.
4) Dip vessel in the mikvah.Vessel needs to be completed surrounded by water so let your fingers go for a moment.(for convenience, you may use a basket).
